Śrī Rūpānuga Paramārthika Vidyāpīṭha · Śrīdhāma Māyāpur
A Living Tradition Needed a Working Digital System.
A centre that has trained 400+ students in yajña and saṁskāra needed more than a website. We built a connected digital platform where people can discover courses, students can learn and pay, and the Vidyāpīṭha team can manage admissions, fees, donations and certificates.
The Institution
Centuries of Knowledge. A Modern Operational Challenge.
Rūpānuga Vidyāpīṭha teaches yajñas, saṁskāras, Vaiṣṇava philosophy and sacred arts across six academic departments.
More than 400 students had already been trained in yajña courses, the institution had published manuals, and its students and devotees were coming from ISKCON communities around the world.
The institution had grown beyond what paper records and disconnected processes could comfortably support. The digital infrastructure now needed to catch up with the work already happening on the ground.
The Challenge
Admissions, Payments and Learning Were Living in Different Places.
Enquiries, admissions, fee collection, donations and certificates were being managed manually. A student outside India had no simple digital journey from discovering a course to applying, paying and learning.
The public-facing challenge was only half of the problem. The internal team also needed one place to manage students, faculty, courses, payments, donations and website content.
The brief became bigger than building a new website: create an operational system the institution could manage itself without depending on a developer for routine changes.
Key Challenges
One institution. Too many disconnected administrative journeys.
01
No Unified Student Journey
Students needed a clear path from discovering a course to application, payment, curriculum access and certification.
02
Manual Administration
Admissions, student records, fees, donations and certificates required an operational home instead of fragmented manual tracking.
03
Global Students, Local Processes
Devotees outside India needed a straightforward way to understand courses, apply and make payments remotely.
04
Content Depended on Developers
The team needed to update courses, banners, academic information and donation content without requesting code changes.
The Build
Three Doors. One Connected Platform.
Seekers, students and the registrar’s office each need something different. Instead of forcing all three audiences through the same interface, we built three connected experiences.
The public website handles discovery. The learning portal gives students access to their academic journey. The admin system gives the team control over the institution’s day-to-day digital operations.
Underneath them, student, course and payment information forms one connected system.

The Design
Designed Like the Tradition It Serves.
A generic SaaS aesthetic would have felt disconnected from the institution. The visual language instead draws on deep maroon, temple gold and warm neutral surfaces.
The system also had to respect the language it carries. Names including Śrī, Vidyāpīṭha, Saṁskāra and Nṛsiṁha use diacritics that need to render correctly throughout the website, portal, records and certificates.
The result is a digital system that feels contemporary without visually separating the technology from the tradition it exists to support.
The Operating Principle
The Team Should Own the System.
Courses change. New batches open. Faculty responsibilities move. Festivals require new banners and donation campaigns.
Those changes should not create a development ticket every time they happen. The platform was built so the Vidyāpīṭha team can manage the institution’s routine digital operations themselves.
The Outcome
From a Website Project to Digital Infrastructure.
Rupanuga Vidyapitha now has three connected digital environments: a public website, a student learning portal and an administrative system.
Payments connect both tuition and donations to the wider system, while role-based permissions allow staff members to work inside the areas relevant to them.
More importantly, the foundation can support new courses, departments, staff and international students without rebuilding the platform from the beginning.

What’s Next
Built to Scale Beyond Māyāpur.
More Courses Without a Rebuild
New courses, departments, staff and payment flows can be added through the administrative system rather than requiring a new platform.
Education Beyond India
The long-term direction includes more online courses for students outside India, using the same learning and administrative foundation.
A Foundation for Sacred Arts
The roadmap includes the Devotional Music School for mṛdaṅga, karatālas, harmonium, sitar and kīrtana, extending the same platform into new areas of traditional education.
